When we start today, you wish to ride slowly to devour the scenery blue Spiti and Snow mountains. Any way riding slow not an option, you are duly forced by black ice and landslides. Why the roads of NH 505 in such state? Well, the credit goes to the surprises – Slush, rolling stones, & confidence freezing temperatures. Although, the road grows merciful to the derriere later. The kazigs (hairpin turns) and the snow-capped mountains confuse you where to look. You know the correct answer. We reach freezing land Kaza in the evening. There There! We are in the Capital of The Spiti Valley.

The city itself is bliss separated into old and new Kaza by Kaza Nullah. Today we are out to visit some of the less explored locations high on the east side of Spiti Valley. You are very versed with atrocities of the road so no need mentioning them again. The Chau Chau Kang Nilda seems to be close enough to touch at Langza & do not forget to collect sea fossils. Leaving Langza, we reach yet another high-altitude village Hikkim, loaded with many `highest in the world` awards. You can see ruins of the Tangyut Monastery destroyed in 1975 earthquake. Finally, we head to the highest motorable village Komic before heading back to our nest in Kaza.

Later when the sun sits right on the head, we direct our handlebar towards The Chandra Tal (Moon Lake). Unlike before, Spiti river flows on the right, loater again on the left. You ride on the Manali road until Kunzum Pass. Afterwards, we take 8 Km long `road of stones & water` , accompanied by meadows.
