Below trip is made for those tourists who want’s to explore Buddhist tourism in Himachal Pradesh. So, we have made this Kangra Mandi Kullu Lahaul Spiti Buddhist tour package with the four major and popular districts of states.

Apart from Amritsar and Chandigarh, this trip covers many famous Buddhist places as Dharamshala, Bir Billing, Rewalsar, Kullu, Manali, Kunzum Pass, Kaza, Kee, Tabo & Kibber.

Day 01: Arrive at Delhi – Amritsar (450 Km) Travel time 9/10 hours (Approx)

Morning pick up from (IGI) New Delhi International Airport/hotel and straight drive to Amritsar.

Evening arrive at Amritsar, check in to hotel. After refresh free for your own activities and overnight stay at Amritsar hotel.

 

Day 02: Amritsar Sightseeing Tour – Wagah Border (Indo – Pak Border) – Amritsar 34 Km

After leisurely breakfast, proceed for full day sightseeing tour of Amritsar city and visiting Jallianwala Bagh, Sheetla Mata Temple, Gurdwara Sri Harminder Sahib Ji (Famous Golden Temple) – It is not a large temple, but it is stunning. Built in 1577, the temple’s dome is gilded with 750 kg of pure gold. The complex adds to its beauty. A marble walkway surrounds the temple with milky white buildings protecting it on all four sides.

Afternoon drive to Wagah Boarder to watching flag closing ceremony at Indo – Pak Border at Wagah Border, where you will see live show of evening flag closing ceremony by the both country as India and Pakistan.

Evening drive back to Amritsar and free for your own activities or explore local market of Amritsar city and overnight stay at Amritsar hotel.   

 

Day 03: Amritsar – Dharamshala Sightseeing Tour (210 Km) Travel time 5/6 hours (Approx)

After breakfast check out from Amritsar hotel and drive to Dharamshala with the mesmerizing view of Dhauladhar Mountain Ranges. Afternoon arrive at Dharamshala check in to hotel.

After refresh sightseeing tour of Dharamshala – in the upper reaches of the Kangra valley at an altitude between 1250 meters and 2000 meters in Himachal Pradesh, is better known as the home in exile of the Dalai Lama, the Tibetan Buddhist religious head. The Dharamshala region, that became the home of the Tibetan government in exiles since 1960, has become a prolific Buddhist centre.

Start to visit Naddi Village, Dal Lake, Tibetan International School, Bhagsu Nag Temple, Water Fall, Tibetan Monastery and Dalai Lama Temple.

Later free to stroll in the famous shopping place of Dharamshala town – The Mall at Mac – Leod Ganj and overnight stay at Dharamshala hotel.

Day 04: Dharamshala – Bir Billing– Rewalsar – Mandi (175 Km) Travel time 6/7 hours (Approx)

After leisurely breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Mandi en route visiting Namgyal Monastery at Dharamshala, later continue drive to Bir (Around 80 Km from Dharamshala) and visit to Chokling Monastery at small village of Bir Billing,Joginder Nagar, Mandi, Himachal Pradesh.

Again drive to Rewalsar, lunch at on the way. On arrival at one of the beautify full Buddhist destination of Himachal Pradesh at Rewalsar, located at 25 Km south  – west from Mandi district and visit to Holy Lake of Rewalsar, Nyingma – Pa Buddhist Monastery and  Padmasambhava cave  (Second largest high Stupa in the world).

Evening arrive at Mandi, check in to hotel and free for independent activities and overnight stay at Mandi hotel.

 

Day 05: Mandi – Kullu – Manali (125 Km) Travel time 3 hours (Approx)

After leisurely breakfast check out from Mandi hotel and drive to Manali.

En route visiting Pandoh Dam, Kullu Handicraft Industry and Mata Vaishno Devi Temple.

Evening arrive at Manali, check in to hotel and free for independent activities and overnight stay at Manali hotel.

 

Day 06: Manali – Rohtang Pass – Kunzum Pass – Losar – Kaza (200 Km) Travel time 10/11 hours (Approx)

After early breakfast check out from Manali hotel and drive to Kaza en route visiting Kothi, Gulaba Fall, Rahalla Fall, Marhi, Rani Nallah, Rohtang Pass, Kunzum Pass and Losar.

 

Evening arrive at Kaza – Kaza is a district head quarter of the Spiti Valley and it’s a largest town in the valley, located at high altitude of 12000 ft. above from sea level. Kaza is also famous for highest monastery of the world. Check in to hotel and free for independent activities and overnight stay at Kaza hotel.

 

Day 07: Kaza – Komic – Dhankar Monastery – Tabo Sightseeing Tour (70 Km) Travel time 2 hours (Approx)

After leisurely breakfast check out from Kaza hotel and drive to Tabo en route visiting Komic Village, Dhankar Monastery – Dhankar monastery is located at the high altitude of 3894 Meters above from see level also visit to Dhankar village.

Later continue drive to Tabo. Afternoon arrive at Tabo, check in to hotel, later visit to more than 1000 years old Tabo Monastery (Tabo Gompa) and explore Tabo village.  Later free for your own activities and overnight stay at Tabo hotel.

 

Day 08: Tabo – Kaza (45 Km) 2 Hours journey – Kee – Kibber – Kaza (18 Km)

After leisurely breakfast check out from Tabo hotel and drive to Kaza.

On arrival at  Kaza, after lunch continue drive to Kibber en route visiting Kee Monastery, Kee Gate and Kibber village – highest village and highest motorable road of the world. Later return back to Kaza and visit to Kaza Monastery and explore Kaza town / market. Later check in to hotel and free for independent activities and overnight stay at Kaza hotel.

Day 09: Kaza – Chandertal – Manali (200 Km) Travel time 10/11 hours (Approx)

After early breakfast check out from hotel and drive to en route visiting Chandertal Lake (Optional).

Evening arrive at Manali, check in to hotel and free for independent activities and overnight stay at Manali hotel.

Day 10: Manali Visit

After leisurely breakfast Manali sightseeing tour and visiting Hadimba Temple, Manu Temple, Club House, Vashisht Temple (Sulphur hot spring) and Tibetan Monastery and Van Vihar.

Evening free to stroll in the famous shopping place of Manali town at The Mall and overnight stay at Chandigarh hotel.

Day 11: Manali – Chandigarh (323 Km) Travel time 8/9 hours (Approx)

After leisurely breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Chandigarh. On arrival at Chandigarh, check in to hotel, after refresh free for your own activities. You can also enjoy shopping at sector 17 and overnight stay at Chandigarh hotel.

 

Day 12: Chandigarh Sightseeing Tour – Delhi Departure (250 Km) Travel time 5 hours journey

After leisurely breakfast, today is the end of the day of your Himachal Buddhist culture tour package. Check out from hotel and visit to Rose Garden, Rock Garden (A fantasy world of Mr. Nek Chand) and Sukhna Lake (A lifeline of Chandigarh city). Afternoon drive back to Delhi and evening transfer to Delhi (IGI) Airport/Railway station to board the flight/train for onward journey.
